Sohni the Sumatran Tiger

 Sohni the Sumatran Tiger

2.5” x 3.5”

4/21/22

It’s interesting how my iPhone camera sees these paintings. It seems to have the ability to enhance imperfections that I don’t see with my actual spectrum of vision. That being said, I’m not going to rework anything, despite the strong urge to do so.

On Safari

 2.5” x 3.5” Watercolor

Because I don’t draw these latest pieces out first, they have proportion issues that are sometimes, okay, mostly, difficult to fix. This giraffe clearly has too much junk in the trunk.

I also used a photo of a giraffe chewing. I’d literally just watched it feeding, and this is as it was walking away, chomping. This didn’t really convey, obviously.

Gelli Printing

A few nights ago, our community art club did Gelli Printing. I’d not done any research into this medium, and had zero idea what it’d be. I love it. Every time I look at these I see something different.

Please look into it if you’d like to know more. https://thequiltshow.com/quiltipedia/what-is-gelli-plate-printing

The following are the 4 I made. All are 6” x 6.”

“Swiftly By Starlight”

“The First Time I Saw It”

“Tugboat Macro”

“Growing Below”
