"Jack Russell Terrier" 2.5" x 3.5" Block Print
Limited / Open Edition 8/21/11
This is based on a friend's Jack Russell, Rip. I decided I wasn't sure about the original background, so made a few prints, and removed it. I'm still on the fence as to which is better.
"Werewolf" 2.5" x 3.5" Block Print
Open Edition 8/11/11
Hallowthanksmas is coming, and I want to do a bunch of creatures, the first of which was the Jersey Devil I started a couple of days ago and finished yesterday.
"Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue" 2.5" x 3.5" Block Print Limited Edition of 32 4/23/11
The Series Premier this evening of Doctor Who has brought me out of my creative slump. There are some things I'm not thrilled with, but am satisfied overall.
"The Haunted Mansion, Disneyland" 2.5" x 3.5" Block Print Limited Editionof 55 10/9/10
In honor of our recent trip to Disneyland and the approach of Halloween, I did the original Haunted Mansion. It is limited to 55 in honor of Disneyland's 55th anniversary.
"Sith Lord, Darth Vader" 2.5" x 3.5" Block Print Open Edition 8/22/10
I like aspects of this piece more than the other Darth Vader piece I did, but there are things I would take from the other piece and put into this. I have come to realize that Stormtroopers are just cooler looking. Heresy?
Darth Vader 2.5" x 3.5" Block Print Limited Edition of 30 8/21/10
I am a big Disney fan. I am a big Star Wars fan. Recently "Star Wars Celebration 5" was in Orlando, and I have been watching footage of "Last Tour to Endor" at Walt Disney World. I saw Star Wars Episode 4 when I was 9. It has been a part of my life, all my life, just about, like Disney. So I was inspired to do this piece today. It is limited to 30 in honor of the 30th anniversary of "The Empire Strikes Back".
Washington Monument, Washington D.C.(Version 1) 2.5" x 3.5" Block Print Limited Edition of 6 8/4/10
I did this initial version, with a double line, on the right side of the monument, and decided to try to go with just a single line. So there are only 6 of these. In retrospect, it was a very risky thing to do, and I should have printed a few more, in case removing this line went awry. Thankfully, it didn't.
Horse Drawn Carriage in the French Quarter, New Orleans ACEO 2.5" x 3.5" Block Print Limited Editionof 25 8/2/10
Okay, so perspective has never been my strong suit. Neither has been combining elements from different images. Or shadowing. I like this piece, overall, despite it's shortcomings.
Saint Louis Cathedral, New Orleans ACEO 2.5" x 3.5" Block Print Limited Editionof 25 7/7/10
I was in New Orleans a couple of months ago, and I thought it was a fantastic city. Last night my wife and I re-watched Disney's "The Princess and the Frog", a fantastic movie, and I was really inspired. The Saint Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square in the French Quarter is a beautiful piece of architecture.
"Cape May Lighthouse" ACEO 2.5" x 3.5" Block Print Open Edition 7/5/10
I am, overall, happy with how this 1st attempt at a lighthouse came out. I wasn't sure if I should have added clouds, another thing I have yet to tackle.
"Watering Can in Garden" 2.5" x 3.5" Block Print Open Edition 7/3/10
My intention for these cards, besides being a gift for my cousin-in-law Jill, was to do 4 very different designs for a card set. I wanted to go from very simple to very ornate. I wound up going from one extreme to the next between the 1st and this print.
I wanted to remove the background, leaving just the can on the bench, but my wife encouraged me not to. It's her favorite of the 4 watering cans.
